About Jimmy

For more than four decades, Jimmy Haun has built a career as one of the music industry’s most respected guitarists, composers, producers, and vocalists. Whether recording with legendary artists, composing music for film and television, or creating unforgettable melodies heard around the world, his work has always been driven by one thing: serving the music.

Jimmy first entered the professional music world as a teenager, performing jazz before co-founding the band Lodgic with longtime collaborators Michael and Billy Sherwood. From there, his reputation as an exceptional guitarist led to an extraordinary recording and touring career that has included work with Yes, Air Supply, David Bowie, B.B. King, Celine Dion, Cher, Sheryl Crow, Jon & Vangelis, Steve Porcaro, Kitaro, and many other iconic artists. He is especially recognized for his guitar work on Yes – Union and as a co-founding member of the progressive rock bands Lodgic, Circa and Arc of Life.

Beyond the stage and studio, Jimmy has become an accomplished composer and producer for film, television, and commercial music. His compositions have been featured in motion pictures and television productions, and his creative work includes composing the original Mandalay Pictures fanfare, creating the original Yahoo! yodel, and lending his voice to the Expedia sonic brand. His film credits include Boulevard, starring Robin Williams, where he composed the score and produced the closing song, “Goodbye Joy.”

Throughout every chapter of his career, Jimmy has remained a musician first—valuing collaboration, craftsmanship, and authentic musical expression over trends. His versatility has allowed him to move effortlessly between rock, pop, progressive music, orchestral composition, commercial production, and cinematic scoring, making him one of the rare artists equally at home on stage, in the recording studio, or behind the composer’s desk.

Today, Jimmy continues to write, record, produce, and collaborate with artists around the world. Whether performing guitar, composing for visual media, or developing new musical projects, his passion for creating meaningful music remains as strong as ever.

“As I see it music has one foot in Heaven and one foot on Earth.”
